French supermarket chains, including Intermarché and Coopérative U, were hit on Monday (12) by a cyberattack against the refrigeration control systems of the Danish manufacturer Danfoss.
According to BFMTV, the attackers reportedly hijacked that function overnight, imposing a forced and continuous defrost with the temperature set at 50 degrees. AFP reported that French supermarket chains say the cyberattack forced the shutdown of refrigerators.
