US President Donald Trump announced Wednesday that South Korea would invest up to $200 billion in energy projects across the US, including a liquefied natural gas (LNG) pipeline in Alaska, according to The Hill.

According to Yonhap Infomax, he said that if Seoul does not want to take part, he will charge more: “If they don’t want to do it, that’s fine with me. I’ll just charge them more.” And he sent word: “Tell them that if they don’t sign soon, I will double it.” Asked about a premature announcement, Trump said he was not premature because South Korean representatives were present.
