US President Donald Trump said at a rally on Tuesday that Taiwan has agreed to buy 30% of the liquefied natural gas from a pipeline project in Alaska, but the deal terms were not immediately clear, according to Reuters.
According to Agence France-Presse (AFP), in a text published by The Hindu, Trump also said that Taiwan would invest $4.4 billion into the project, as Taipei seeks Washington’s favor amid tensions with China.
