Japan issued an emergency alert on Saturday about the launch of a suspected North Korean ballistic missile, on the day South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff said the North fired at least one ballistic missile from the Wonsan area, on the peninsula’s eastern coast, towards the sea.
The projectile flew more than 700 km, according to the same Joint Chiefs of Staff, cited by the Yonhap news agency.
