Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said a container ship sank in the Strait of Hormuz after striking a mine, according to TASS.

The ship was carrying about 2,500 containers, and the report did not identify the owner or provide information about the fate of the crew. LBC, citing Reuters and Iranian state media, reported that the ship was trying to transit a route the Guard described as unauthorised and dangerous.
