The joint Keen Sword military exercises, by the US and Japan, will take place from October 19 to 29 in Japan and adjacent waters, with seven other countries taking part, according to the Russian news agency TASS.

On the Japanese side, about 45,000 troops, 40 warships and 250 aircraft are taking part, and the size of the US contingent was not disclosed, also according to TASS.
