German Chancellor Friedrich Merz arrived in Kyiv on Sunday, October 4, for talks with Volodymyr Zelensky, according to the Kyiv Post.
Merz said he traveled to Ukraine because the country needs support and that, if Russia is not stopped, its war machine will sooner or later turn against the West. He was joined by Economy Minister Katherina Reiche and executives from the defense and energy sectors, France 24 reported.
