The United States expelled two members of the Iranian delegation who attended the UN General Assembly after they ignored an order to leave the country, the State Department said on Saturday, according to Middle East Eye.
US media reported that the department had told Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and his delegation to leave the country on Monday and that it resorted to expelling the two members. The Iranian mission to the UN disputed Washington’s account of the delegation’s departure and said its members left in accordance with a schedule, according to RT News.
