According to Katz’s office, the move came after intelligence about Hamas’s intention to attempt attacks against Israeli forces in Gaza on that date, and the statement warned that if forces are harmed, Hamas and the population of Gaza will pay a heavy price — beyond all proportion, according to France 24.
