The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) agency said a vessel was hit by an apparent projectile while transiting the Strait of Hormuz on Monday evening, causing a fire, according to Middle East Eye.

According to Mehr News, the fire was extinguished, the crew was safe and the vessel continued its journey. The UKMTO said there was no reported environmental impact and that the extent of damage to the vessel was still being assessed.
