Senator Flávio Bolsonaro (PL), a candidate for Brazil’s presidency, said he intends to join the Shield of the Americas in a future government.

The initiative, articulated by Donald Trump’s government, brings together Latin American countries in a security cooperation front. In a letter sent on Tuesday, 12 US Democratic lawmakers accused Donald Trump’s government of trying to influence Brazil’s election. In the document, the lawmakers cite the revocation of the Brazilian ambassador’s visa and plans to send 2 authorities to question the Brazilian system.
