Taiwan’s first two F-16V Block 70 fighter jets are expected to arrive within a few days, according to Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) legislator Wang Ting-yu.

Wang said the two aircraft have taken off from Hawaii and will land at Chihhang Air Base in Taitung either Friday or Saturday. The sale of 66 F-16V Block 70s was approved by the United States in 2019, with deliveries originally scheduled to begin in 2023.
