About 7,000 troops were stationed at Camp Buehring, in Kuwait, and most were moved before fighting began, according to the Jerusalem Post, citing CBS News.

The remaining troops left the base at night in vehicles, taking equipment, and set up forward operating bases in the Kuwaiti desert, after attacks with ballistic missiles and drones and what three service members identified as Iranian F-5 aircraft. No soldiers were killed by enemy fire at Camp Buehring or the desert positions, although several were injured.
