The vote count in Brazil's presidential election pushed the race to a runoff, with Flávio Bolsonaro ahead of Lula.

With nearly 91% of the ballots processed, Flávio Bolsonaro had 48% of the vote and Lula just over 44%, according to the electoral court. According to TASS, Flávio Bolsonaro led with 49.58% of the vote in the first round and no longer had an absolute majority. Projections pointed to a runoff as Bolsonaro's lead narrowed, according to The Hindu.
