The Russian agency TASS, citing German investigative journalist Oliver Schrom, said the United States (US) Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) was aware of the plan to sabotage the Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2 gas pipelines and had nothing against it at the operational level, and that the organizers turned to their American contacts when they decided to blow up the pipelines, according to TASS.
