Saudi Arabia plans to raise the capacity of the East-West pipeline that bypasses the Strait of Hormuz to 10 million barrels per day within two to three years, Energy Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman said, according to OilPrice.
The 740-mile pipeline, also known as Petroline, has a maximum capacity of 7 million barrels per day and returned to service after a two-week suspension following drone attacks in September. Aramco CEO Amin Nasser said the company is studying “additional crude export routes” and working on “expanding overseas storage”.
