Israeli police opened a preliminary review into the Transportation Ministry’s aviation security system, against the backdrop of the attempted hijacking of flydubai flight FZ1073 on September 30, according to The Jerusalem Post.
The review examines a possible conflict of interest involving Dvir Rubinstein, who privately provided consulting and training services to foreign airlines, including flydubai and Emirates, while working for the ministry. No one connected to the affair is currently being questioned under caution by the National Unit for Fraud Investigations, and no criminal investigation under caution is being conducted into anyone involved.
