The United States deployed two additional Patriot air defense batteries to protect oil and gas facilities in Saudi Arabia and Qatar, according to TASS, citing an Axios report.

According to that report, Washington wants to assure its allies that it will protect their key energy sites in case a decision is made to resume a full-fledged operation against Iran.
