US Secretary of State Marco Rubio met Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan in Washington on September 28 to discuss regional security, including shipping safety in the Strait of Hormuz and the situation in Yemen, according to Al Jazeera.

Rubio said they also discussed Iran, Gaza and Sudan, while the Saudi state agency SPA reported that the two discussed political and security developments in the region and the situation in Yemen.
