Pakistan, Turkey and Saudi Arabia will hold an emergency meeting of the strategic political defence committee under the Mecca Joint Defence Agreement in Riyadh next week, according to The Times of India.
The agenda includes the Houthi attacks and pursuing political engagement with the Houthis instead of kinetic action, according to The Times of India. Under the pact, an armed attack on any one of the three countries is to be treated as an attack on all three. Pakistan’s foreign minister said that more than six other countries want to join the agreement, according to Middle East Eye.
