US President Donald Trump said Washington could resume large-scale strikes on Iran after the November midterm elections and rejected Tehran’s latest ceasefire proposal as insufficient, according to CGTN.
Asked whether the US might intensify its bombing campaign against Iran after the midterms, Trump replied “possible” and declined to reveal potential targets. According to the Middle East Eye, he threatened severe consequences without a deal with Iran, saying Tehran “won’t be around very long”: “Either they’ll do something very proper and smart, or they won’t be around very long. Frankly, I hate to see that, but they won’t be around very long.”
