An Israeli mathematics lecturer from Petah Tikva in his 60s has been indicted over an alleged plan to kill hundreds of Palestinian citizens of Israel and Palestinians in the occupied territories and force them from their homes, according to Middle East Eye.

The indictment was filed on Monday by Central District prosecutors Roy Reis and Tomer Steinberg, according to i24NEWS. The plan called for recruiting 72 Jewish attackers, including himself, divided into 12 cells of six people, also according to Middle East Eye. The university said it “condemns in the strongest possible terms” and is “deeply appalled” by the acts attributed to the lecturer, and announced his immediate suspension, according to i24NEWS.
