The Israeli army has arrested more than 200 people in southern Syria since the fall of Bashar al-Assad’s regime in December 2024, according to the Sijil Centre, which tracks Israeli activity in Syria, in a France 24 Observers report.
Witnesses have denounced the arbitrary arrests, and former detainees and their loved ones have raised concerns over detention conditions.
