Polls closed in Bosnia and Herzegovina on Sunday evening, with about 3.4 million voters eligible to take part in the country’s general election, according to DW.
Milorad Dodik, leader of the Alliance of Independent Social Democrats in Republika Srpska, announced the victory of his political force at all levels and thanked Russian President Vladimir Putin for his support ahead of the vote. The Central Election Commission said the party’s candidates, Savo Minic and Zeljka Cvijanovic, were winning the races for Republika Srpska’s president and the entity’s Serb member of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Presidency, respectively.
