Thousands of people gathered in central London in support of Palestinians after three years marked by what The Guardian describes as Israel's “genocide” against them.

The Metropolitan Police said it had made 20 arrests, including for criminal damage, after demonstrators climbed on to the Battle of Britain memorial.
