A Saudi national has been charged with secretly planting a recording device in OpenAI’s office in California, according to federal prosecutors cited by the BBC.

The device, wrapped in toilet paper, was found inserted in a USB port on the back of a TV in an executive conference room. OpenAI said it discovered a sophisticated recording device and alerted the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). Alfozan, 35, was arrested on October 9 and appeared in federal court on October 13, according to the Hindustan Times.
