Iran's Army spokesman, Brigadier General Mohammad Akraminia, said the country will expand the range and speed of its missiles, justifying the decision by saying the enemy now operates farther from the coast, at distances of up to 1,000 km.

The current Iranian arsenal, according to Sputnik, consists mainly of missiles with a range of up to 2,000 km.
