A second vessel sank near the Strait of Hormuz within less than 24 hours.

The bulk carrier Cape Dao, flagged by Antigua and Barbuda, was struck by a projectile on 23 September and sank, according to data from the International Maritime Organization (IMO) released on Wednesday. The loss was reported less than 24 hours after the sinking of the Singapore-flagged GFS Pride, which was struck by a projectile in a separate incident, maritime security sources said.
