The Norwegian Nobel Committee awarded the 2026 Nobel Peace Prize to South African jurist Navanethem “Navi” Pillay, according to Al Jazeera.
The committee said it was honoring her “for her efforts to promote peace and international law”, and Pillay is a former judge at the International Criminal Court (ICC) and former UN human rights chief, according to CBS News.
