Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said he feels personally betrayed by Donald Trump after it emerged that Ukraine’s military had its access to Starlink restricted.
Overnight, Ukraine’s military reported that the Starlink satellite communications system, produced by Elon Musk’s SpaceX but managed by the US government, was no longer working at speeds greater than 100 Mbps, without explanation. The restriction comes as no surprise, according to an analyst quoted by France24: the service had been throttled after the SpaceX boss called the targeting of data services in Russia by Ukrainian drones “a step too far”.
