The Jerusalem Post reported that Israel assassinated the head of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) navy, Alireza Tangsiri, on March 26, fearing he could become a more formidable IRGC chief than Ahmad Vahidi.
Israeli officials viewed Tangsiri as a highly creative and resourceful commander, according to the paper.
