The Houthis said they launched ballistic missiles and drones at an Aramco facility in Riyadh, in a statement posted on X on Saturday by military spokesman Yahya Saree.
The spokesman for the Saudi-led coalition, Turki al-Maliki, called the claims of an attack on Riyadh “misleading”. Early on Sunday, the coalition said it carried out 97 “precise targeting operations” against Houthi reinforcements on the Tor al-Baha front and the Taiz axis, using warplanes, drones, artillery, missiles and snipers. A tanker reported seeing several explosions about 60 nautical miles south of the Yemeni port city of Mocha in the Gulf of Aden on Sunday, according to the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO). The Houthis also said they forced two Saudi F-15 formations to withdraw from Taiz’s airspace with locally made anti-aircraft missiles.
