The United States (US) Senate blocked by 47 votes to 51 the resolution requiring the State Department to report within 30 days on deaths and human rights conditions in the West Bank, according to The Guardian.

The text, led by Democrat Chris Van Hollen, cited nine American citizens killed by Israeli settlers or security forces in the occupied West Bank since 2022. Democrat John Fetterman voted with Republicans against the measure, while Republican Rand Paul voted in favor.
