Pope Leo XIV urged Russia and Ukraine to sit at the negotiating table to resolve the conflict, according to TASS.

According to the agency, the pope said the Church has a responsibility to continually invite leaders, such as those of Russia and Ukraine, to dialogue. Reuters reported that the appeal was made on Monday and that the pontiff urged the two countries to discuss how to end their four-year war.
