Pakistan’s federal government and leaders of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party of jailed former Prime Minister Imran Khan held talks on October 2, 2026 to defuse tensions ahead of the march to Islamabad, according to The Hindu.

The PTI march to Islamabad is set to start on October 4, after being postponed by a week. The negotiations are taking place in the chamber of National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, who is facilitating the dialogue between the two sides.
