Russian strikes killed three people in Kyiv, including one in an attack on a building housing the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences. A jet-powered drone strike hit the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine in the capital, killing one person and wounding four, according to local authorities.

The State Language Protection Commissioner said two academicians were killed in the strike on the Academy building, with contact lost with others. President Volodymyr Zelensky said Ukraine struck two defence plants in the Tula and Voronezh regions, as well as oil facilities in the Krasnodar region, in a post on X.
