The European Union turned down Kyiv’s request for an additional 27 billion euros, including by speeding up payments as part of the 90-billion-euro loan, according to TASS, citing Bloomberg and European sources.

The EU demanded continued reforms tied to the phased release of the first 45-billion-euro tranche, due later this year, with no early payment.
