More than 200,000 people have left their homes in Yemen since the recent fighting began, according to data from the International Organization for Migration (IOM) released on Wednesday, in a Reuters text republished by the Jerusalem Post.
Displacement surged from 76,000 in mid-September to more than 200,000, nearly all of them fleeing since the fighting started in early September. The Houthis seized the country’s entire Red Sea coast last month from forces of the internationally recognized government, based in Aden.
