Israel's Supreme Court unanimously overturned the Central Elections Committee's decision to ban the Arab-majority parties Joint List and Ra'am from the October 27 election, according to the Times of Israel.
The court also ruled 7-2 against the committee's decision to ban Joint List MK Ofer Cassif of Hadash, the same outlet reported. The decision keeps Palestinian citizens of Israel, about 20 percent of the population, in the race after critics accused the committee of double standards, Al Jazeera reported.
