Israel’s national security minister, Itamar Ben-Gvir, will reportedly demand at the security cabinet the extradition of the flydubai co-pilot who allegedly attempted to crash the Tel Aviv-bound plane with nearly 180 people onboard on Wednesday, according to the Hindustan Times, citing the Jerusalem Post.
The suspect is being held in Saudi Arabia, where the aircraft carrying 174 people, including 27 children, made an emergency landing at Tabuk on Wednesday after an altercation in the cockpit. The United Arab Emirates (UAE) Ministry of Foreign Affairs said Attorney-General Hamad Al Shamsi ordered the formation of a team of specialised Public Prosecution members to investigate the circumstances.
