About 400 schools in France remained closed on Friday (October 2) amid student protests, and the toll includes about 100 schools severely damaged and 40 headteachers injured, according to The Guardian.
Nearly 3,000 high school students, aged 15 to 18, have been detained since the start of the protests, according to the Interior Ministry.
