The Brazilian government is investigating the “possible threat” cited by the United States as the reason to suspend service at the US embassy in Brasília, according to G1.

According to government interlocutors, the United States informed Brazil about the indications of a threat, and Brazilian authorities were already investigating the case before the disclosure of the statement about the closure.
