US authorities conducted a predawn raid of Representative Ilhan Omar’s home in Washington, DC, on Monday as part of an ongoing investigation, the Justice Department said.

Omar, a Minnesota congresswoman, said she “will not be silenced” and called the search of her home part of President Donald Trump’s “intimidation” campaign. Trump said Somalia, where she was born, is “one of the worst countries anywhere on the planet”.
