UN Secretary-General António Guterres met with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, according to TASS, citing the UN chief’s press service.

Guterres welcomed the diplomatic efforts undertaken during the High-level Week of the General Assembly aimed at bringing the conflict in the Middle East to an end, according to the same source. The UN chief called on the parties to continue negotiating to resolve the outstanding differences, also according to TASS.
