Former Republican congressman David Rivera has been sentenced to 10 years in a federal prison for money laundering and for working as an undeclared foreign agent, according to the BBC.

NBC News reports the case involves a secret $50 million lobbying campaign on Venezuela’s behalf during the first Trump administration. There’s no dispute this money came from the Maduro regime, according to the BBC.
