The Kilwa Masoko fishing port passed its completion inspection and is described as Tanzania’s first large-scale modern fishing harbour, according to China’s ambassador to the country, Chen Mingjian.

Designed to land 60,000 tonnes of fish a year, the port is expected to create about 30,000 direct and indirect jobs, according to Tanzanian Labour Minister Deus Sangu.
