Taiwan’s defence ministry confirmed for the first time funding for the US Indo-Pacific Command to send a retired general and observers to the Han Kuang war games, according to the South China Morning Post (SCMP).

NT$82.4 million (US$2.5 million) was allocated for the 2026–2027 program, with NT$41.219 million this year.
