Marine Le Pen’s National Rally and its allies won 14 of the French Senate’s 348 seats and formed a parliamentary group in the upper house for the first time in the party’s history, according to France 24.

It is the first time the party has cleared the 10-seat threshold for a Senate parliamentary group. Nine party senators were elected on Sunday, on top of the three who won seats in 2023 — the other two of the 14 seats won by RN and its allies went to allies.
