The White House detailed the cuts: 11 rescissions of budget authority totaling $810 million, the largest being $567 million appropriated for the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to provide social services to illegal immigrants.

The administration confirmed the use of a pocket rescission for nearly $1 billion of the most harmful government spending.
