The Kremlin said on Monday that arms control negotiations between Russia and the US are far behind and that, once resumed, they will require lengthy and careful talks, according to Reuters, in a text republished by G1.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said such negotiations should have resumed “yesterday” and that China has repeatedly made clear that it would not take part in the trilateral arms control negotiations proposed by US President Donald Trump, a position that, as far as Moscow knows, has not changed.
